IT Field Technician

AS WE move into our next phase of Growth You will be an active contributor within our Technical Services and Project delivery team. The role will see you contribute to the designing, engineering, configuring, implementing, commissioning and supporting of ICT infrastructure (Server, Storage, Network, Virtual Platforms) at both new and existing client sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attend customer sites as a representative and perform agreed technical support and pro-active maintenance activities
  • Complete ad-hoc support activities as client needs arise
  • Perform 1st and 2nd Level Telephone Support functions and manage escalation to 3rd Level Teams as required

Key skills for this role include:

  • Microsoft and other Industry Certifications
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems such as: Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10; MAC OS, OSX; Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and Server Essentials server operating systems
  • Active Directory & Group Policy Administration
  • Exchange 2010-2016 Administration
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP (LAN/WAN environment)
  • Basic understanding of Sophos UTM & XG Firewalls
  • Office 365 Administration

Personal attributes:

  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written across all levels of business.
  • Appreciation and experience managing customer service level delivery.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

You MUST have a valid driver’s license, your own car and at least 2 years’ work experience in Australia to be considered for this role.
